I really did want to have an official post to start off this blog, but introductions are always awkward, so I might as well base it around this clearly, well thought-out question. And quite frankly, I’ve never understood the fascination with either. 

When I was a kid, I watched this insane movie called Jurassic Park, and I remember hugging my grandmother whenever a dinosaur popped up on the screen. Then I started having recurring dreams of being eaten/stomped/torn apart by dinosaurs. To exacerbate the situation, I also used to know a five-year old kid obsessed with dinosaurs who would bit me constantly when I was 10 years old. And believe it or not, that definitely turned me against dinosaurs and boys obsessed with dinosaurs (okay, maybe I can exception for the latter). But three strikes, and I’m out. 

Robots on the other hand freak me out because I’m genuinely afraid that one day technology will overtake us. Crazy, you say? Have you seen I, Robot? Have you seen what happens? Yeah…exactly. However, I do have to admit that I have seen cute representations of robots, which definitely make my choice very clear. 

Robots win, hands down (is that even the right phrase?). But, only if they’re cute.
